Hannah is a dancer, performer, educator, and multimedia artist.
Hannah has been a member of Pilobolus since 2021 and currently serves as the company's dance captain. She received formal training in classical ballet and contemporary dance at Ballet Chelsea, Grand Valley State University, and BalletMet. Ever curious and open to exploring diverse movement modalities, she has also trained in partnering, martial arts, acrobatics, puppetry, improvisation, running, theater, Feldenkrais, yoga, and Pilates.
Her professional career began with ballet companies, including BalletMet and Ballet Rhode Island, before her curiosity let her to join MOMIX, where she was an original cast member and co-creator of Alice and toured VIVA MOMIX. Most recently, she lept across the mushroom kingdom into the world of Pilobolus.
Hannah has an insatiable appetite for creating and collaborating. she co-founded the Choreography Project (Rhode Island) in 2018 and continues to choreograph solo projects and with many collaborators including partner Sean Langford. She is also a costume and clothing designer, weaving her designs into both everyday wear and stage productions.
Over her 13 years of teaching, Hannah has had the pleasure of working with students from ages 3 to 90+, in a wide range of disciplines: Pilobolus classes, ballet, pointe, partnering, creative movement, pre-ballet, adult ballet, improvisation, modern, contemporary, group fitness, and water aerobics.
She strives to balance rigorous technique with a spirit of play, guiding peers and students alike to discover fire and joy in their movement.
